Release time:2024-10-11News type:Bearing knowledge
In the rapidly developing power industry, bearings play an important role as key components in numerous motors. Especially in the process of motor maintenance, special attention needs to be paid to the insulation treatment of bearings. We have rich experience in this area and are willing to share the following points.
There are two common methods for bearing insulation: using insulated bearings and using insulated bearing chambers.
Insulated bearings: Insulated bearings are usually divided into inner and outer ring coatings, as well as rolling elements made of ceramic materials. The inner and outer ring coatings are usually coated with ceramic materials on the bearing surface through plasma spraying technology, which can maintain excellent insulation performance even in humid environments. Ceramic material rolling type insulated bearings are composed of rolling elements made of ceramic materials, which have excellent current blocking ability and effectively achieve insulation.
Insulated bearing chamber: This method usually involves attaching a polytetrafluoroethylene film to the hole inside the end cap bearing chamber to isolate the current transmission between the bearing and the end cap.
When repairing motors, regardless of the insulation method used, the following points should be noted:
Control of shaft and bearing chamber tolerances: Ensure that the bearings can rotate flexibly without any resistance after being pressed in. If the rotation is not flexible, it may be due to excessive bearing size or tolerance issues.
Assembly method of bearings: Insulated bearings are high-precision products and require the use of professional molds during assembly to avoid direct tapping. When pressing the bearing, ensure even force distribution to avoid damage.
Preventing foreign objects during assembly: When assembling bearings, ensure cleanliness and prevent foreign objects such as iron filings from entering the interior of the bearings. Meanwhile, the bearing chamber should not be coated with oil or grease.
Preventing paint rust: Especially in enclosed motors, high-quality insulation paint should be selected and fully ventilated after drying to prevent paint rust.
