Tapered roller bearings: In design, the raceway surfaces of the inner ring and outer ring and the conical apex of the rollers converge at a point on the central axis of the bearing. The frustum-shaped rollers, as rolling elements, are assembled in the bearing and guided by the large rib of the inner ring.
They can bear radial loads and axial loads in a single direction. When a load is applied to the bearing, an axial component force will be generated. Therefore, like angular contact ball bearings, two bearings are usually used in opposition or must be used in the form of double-row bearings, etc. In this case, the appropriate internal clearance can be set by adjusting the distance between the inner ring and the outer ring.
Since they are separable, the inner ring and the outer ring can be disassembled separately.
As high-load-capacity bearings, there is also the HR series with increased roller size and number of rollers.
According to the difference in contact angle, they are divided into normal taper angle, medium taper angle, and large taper angle bearings. According to the number of rows of rollers, they can also be divided into double-row and four-row tapered roller bearings. Generally, a steel plate stamping cage is used, and a pin-type cage is also used for large-sized tapered roller bearings.
